Holy Crap I busted my ass to get this comic page done last night… then I forgot to upload it until just now. Granted it’s still early afternoon on the day it’s due, but still… uh, sorry? I’ve noticed that I’ve had a worse habit of doing that with this comic than when I was making Elijah and Azuu on drunkduck. I guess it’s because this comic rarely gets any comments… I used to check my site religiously to see if anyone had commented, but since almost no one comments on here I don’t really have much incentive to check regularly.

I don’t know why that is. I’ve had a handful of people over the years tell me that it’s hard to register / comment on the Episode Fun, Wausau Comics and In Genre site… but they are WordPress and others don’t seem to have issues.
I even added a log-in link for In Genre, but despite having dozens of subscribers we get no real commenting.
Anyone out there trying to comment and can’t, feel free to e-mail me at merin AT ingenre.com.
Well, with DrunkDuck the thing is that most other people who commented on the site were also drunkduck authors… meaning not only did they already have an incentive to be logged in regularly (since they were also comic creators who were hoping to see comments on their works) but also they had a reason to comment because, if they posted something interesting enough, it might get people to click over and check out their comic. Now WordPress has a few similarities to that system, but I think because DrunkDuck was a smaller, more focused site it was easier to get people into that mindset
I am completely in love with this comic. Main reason I don’t comment more is that this stupid site doesn’t leave me logged in, and its password rules require me to have a mix of capital and lowercase letters which are case sensitive. Often I go to log in, fail twice, and say screw it. Another issue is just that while I was reading a lot of Drunkduck comics at the time of Elijah And Azuu, this is the /only/ comic I read on this website.
But yeah, this is one of my favorite comics. I was an avid reader of Elijah and Azuu and commented sometimes there (Under either BardicLasher or FinalMagus I don’t remember) You’re more popular than comments dictate by a longshot.
Might I suggest ALSO posting this comic to your DeviantArt page? It’s not a site dedicated to it, but it’s going to have much more wandering traffic, is easier to make comments, and allows me to set it up to notify me when there’s a new one.
It’s more likely the extra step of joining and logging in. People are lazy. They don’t need to join to view the comic. Or if they join, they don’t need to log in unless there is something unusual. A great comic is not unusual here.
That being said, he’s definitely Azuu’s kid!!
All right, I just discovered this spinoff, and I am now commenting to say that I am anxious for last week’s update! lol
