Holy Crap, did you guys see The Avengers? I am honestly still kind of shocked that it all came together so well. I guess it works better with a group like this if you give all of their origin stories their own movies, so the group movie can proceed almost right away. Mostly though I like how it shows that a fun popcorn flick can actually be pretty smart. I wouldn’t say it was exactly deep, mind you. But it felt like a good, old fashioned comic book “good vs. evil” story. And these days, I think we could all use a bit of the old fashioned.
