Seriously, the Galactic Republic with all its resources seems such a joke. Rome fell largely because they kept spending more and more money on expanding, on armies then on mercenary armies (and then stopped paying said mercenaries who in turn invaded) - it didn’t fall apart because of size but because of military spending, privatization of it’s security forces it’s whole economy was based on plunder (of resources and slave labor.) What is the Galactic Republic’s excuse, too much voting?
